Ministry from Haiti
Pastor St Luc Noël
![]() St Luc is married to a lovely wife, Anitan. They have one girl, Erlande, and four boys, HenryClaude, Wendy, Piterson and Justin. St Luc is responsible for feeding, housing and educating his immediate and extended family that live with him. After the earthquake, the number of family and refugees numbered from 19 to 87. This does not account for the woman and her family that live in a house provided by St Luc on his property, nor the housing he has obtained for widows and poor families in his congregation.
Born in 1960, Pierre Sainnilien Noël was given this name by his pagan father who made it to the registry office before his Christian mother could. More affectionately known by the Haitian people as Pastor StLuc, he became a born again believer and decided to preach the gospel during his teen years. St Luc is remarkably conversant in four languages with only a sixth grade education due to the limitations Haitian education offered him. Since his teen years, StLuc has continued growing in his knowledge of the Bible and has been responsible for starting and directing several churches in Haiti, has ministered in the Dominican Republic, and is constantly seeking avenues to establish the gospel message to those who have not heard. He is continually in the process of growing the ministry with revivals and crusades, maintaining what has been established with conferences and training those under him to continue the work of the ministry. His main church is now located in Labastille near Mirebalais on the Plateau Central. Other churches that have been started by StLuc or are currently under his direction are located in the mountain and valley areas of Foramandou and Vieille Terre of the northwest, Prerier of plateau central and Port au Prince. New stations are Fuzimee and Djondjon in JnRabel District, Croix Des Bouquets near Port au Prince, Mirebalais, Dlo Cho, Doko, Savenette and Gran Bassin of Plateau Central, Tiplasmoris, Laferrier in the Artibonite River Valley region, Beladaire near Dominican Republic and one station in infancy, Basin Toman, in Gran Boucan. Beladaire Miro continues to expand their ministry with beginning works as well. The Haitian government requires churches to support a medical clinic, school or orphanage in order to hold a legal status. At present, StLuc has 6 schools with over 900 students. Teacher salaries and meals for the students are needed. With no sustainable national economy, Haitian ministries are forced to seek foreign support. Text books are a rare commodity. Supplying the school and teacher salaries becomes the responsibility of the pastor. An affordable fee is charged per student to avail education to all. Pastors in Haiti do not have a secular income. With the poorest national economy in the world, congregations are hard pressed to support their pastor - yet seek the pastor for aide and assistance. StLuc is presently working in virgin areas with new stations where the people only have known voodoo. People have feared the works of the devil not knowing the love of Jesus Christ. Red hair, extended bellies and disease exist from malnutrition to malaria, worm infestations and now epidemic cholera. This pastor endeavors to bring a relief to the people, providing prayer, minimal pharmaceuticals and feeding programs for starving children and families. Only through generous supporter hearts and hands that our Lord touches will this Christian ministry continue in the force and pace it now has. The Lord will continue to abundantly bless those who aide and do the work of this ministry. More will be established as the Lord provides the supply through people like you. Assistance will always be gratefully received! |
